Midwest Astro-Imaging Conference 2009

The 2009 Conference will take place on July 10-11, 2009.

More details will be available here soon.

June 20-21, 2008 - Hoffman Estates, IL

The 2008 Conference was a great success. Here are just a few things that attendees and speakers said:

"
Whether you just took your first picture of the night sky or have years of experience, there was something for everyone in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, during the MidWest Astro-Imaging Conference June 20-21... It was especially nice to see lunar imaging specialist Pilz demonstrate his tricks for capturing top-rate lunar photos - a pursuit often neglected at similar events." - Sean Walker, Sky & Telescope

"Great conference. It was a great experience to make new friends, meet presenters, participants and vendors."
- Isaac Cruz, Reynoldsburg, OH

"Had the pleasure of attending this conference and it was very good. It's really wonderful that I had a good session to attend at each slot that fit what I was looking for to improve my imaging or processing skills. I found the Photoshop information excellent and learned techniques that will really improve my images. I highly recommend going to this conference next year." - Andrew Weeks, Batavia, IL

"What a great conference. Learned a lot. I have already been putting into practice some things I learned from Neil."
- Phil Kuebler, Columbus, OH

"The conference was great and I really enjoyed the weekend.  Well organized, good presentations, and a good venue.  The AIC in San Jose has the advantage of lots of well known folks living close by, but I
think the MWAIC is close on its heels and may well become the premier event in the future, because of successes like this past weekend." -
Gary Burk, Powell, OH

"I attended MWAIC for the first time with the hopes of picking up a few imaging tips. I was very pleased to attend one five star presentation after another. Any one of them would have made the conference worth while...  I can highly recommend this conference and can’t wait till next year." - Ken Davy

"One interesting aspect of the conference was watching the interaction between the software developers and how as a group they evolved the next generation of their software while talking with each other.  I know of several significant upgrades and one new astrophotography book that was born from huddles at MWAIC.  The conference spawned significant new developments behind the scenes.  Thank you for providing this forum for us to interact from within." - Robert Reeves, San Antonio, TX
